Locally Grown Roses

Judy Bloom Flowers is proud to use a large number of local flowers in our arrangements. In Portland, Oregon, we are lucky to have an abundance of wonderful local flower growers.

One important partner in our floral supply is local grower, Peterkort Roses. We are excited to offer a variety of their vivid roses and lush lilies. Their flowers carry a special local touch and quality you want with pungent, rich fragrances.

Visit Peterkort Roses online for more information on how they grow!

Recycle Your Flowers! Make Potpourri!

Time to toss the flowers? Not quite! "Recycle" and reuse old blooms and turn them into a fantastic floral potpourri!

Roses, freesia, statice, babys breath and eucalyptus are a few great choices for drying.

To remove rose petals quickly, simply grab the entire head of the rose and bend sideways to snap off the head and release the petals.

Mix florals together with a few drops of your favorite essential oils and enjoy your beautiful, fragrant potpourri! Makes a great gift!

Best Wishes,
Miss Judy Bloom

Carnation Fascination!

The traditional birth flower of January is the carnation. The sweet smelling flower is a colorful and long-lasting choice in blooms.

Carnations can be dyed any color and still retain their hardy qualities.

Beauty, pride and fascination are all traditional meanings behind January's birth flower, the carnation.

Best Wishes,
Miss Judy Bloom
